Been working out every day to complete exhaustion for the last three weeks. I got inspired... it helps me take my mind off of my daily anxieties. Just started biceps and abs this week... Not only was I just able to do pullups... something I've never really been able to do, but I also can't help but notice that I've lost half an inch off my waist size and 15 pounds  (I used a freight shipping scale at work... I'm not the kind of guy to have a bathroom scale at home... down from 175 to 160)

I feel great, I have tons more energy than I'm used to, and I'm metabolizing like a furnace.... I can definitley see why you guys do this stuff

Lifting every day is not good for your body. Not only that, but you're going to plateau (not make any more improvement) sooner. I've been lifting for about a year now and I've gained 20 lbs of muscle. It is good to see that you definitely have the motivation.

You can get addicted to exercise. It's more common in women, but still, be careful.

Good deal man. I've gotten involved in a gym and am pretty addicted to going to a variety of classes. Feels great having exercised.

stop doing that. you will very soon be completely overtrained, feel like sh!t, and want to stop working out entirely. plus you will stop making gains and be wasting your time.

congrats to you, yossarian is correct as well, if your working out til complete "failure," you will eventually just wear out, feel lifeless and so on. While working out till failure is good, too much of a good thing can be bad as the old saying goes. Try working out till failure the day before your rest day. Enjoy.

Agree with the above posters. Working out everyday normally isnt that great of an idea as pretty much was stated as above..

-You will start to plateau and stop making gains
-Burn yourself out and eventually start to slack off going to the gym

go every other day if you must. or 2 on 1 off, 3 on 1 off ....something along those lines.. but give your body at least 1 day rest somewhere in between.

Its great that you enjoy working out. As others have said, every day is too much, rest is as important as the training. You can do cardio a few odd days but limit your lifting to 3-4 times a week. In the past 2 years I've gained about 30lb of muscle, no bodyfat. It's all hard going now to gain more.

I only work out 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes, I lift to failure every time but have plenty of recuperation time. If you are really interested you need to educate yourself. Some good furums are at www.abcbodybuilding.com, www.muscletalk.co.uk

Good luck!

Well neener neener neener...I ran 10 miles today (and 8.5 mi. on Wednesday), and I feel like I'm walking on clouds...

...or maybe those are just the blisters on my feet padding my steps. :)
