Last year, Walmart did some review of pay schedules or some such thing, and I was compensated for my loss - they gave me a check for something like 60 cents. (I quit working there over 2 years ago.)

Now I have a W2 from them. Box 1: Wages, tips, and other compensation: $1.00

Federal tax withheld: $0.23 :Q Damn, 23%? They really do screw over the poor!

Social Security tax withheld: $0.06

Medicare tax withheld: $0.01.

State tax: $0.02

Local tax: $0.01

I hope the various organizations are careful about how they spend this.
WTG, Walmart.

And I still don't have my W2 from my summer job.
More damn papers to track, in a society that could eliminate most of it. But no, we have to have the "experience" of touching every little thing, or else it doesn't exist. So, everyone reading this post, please print it out right away, and savor the moment as you hold the paper in your hands, caressing it gently, taking in the delicate, intricate beauty of ink or toner on bleached, pressed tree puree.

23 cents is only tax withheld. You might get a refund of, like, 12 cents back.

Sweet! So what do I buy? One 12 cent hookerbot, or 12 one-cent hookerbots?

no no no.. you buy the 12 one-center hookerbots. You buy 100 cups of coffee with your $300 (200 if $600) from the government. :D
