YAVQ-- if I messed up my registration am I SOL?

I told the chick at the driver's license place I wanted to register and she had me check the address on my form.

However, I never got anything in the mail and i checked on www.harrisvotes.org and my name isn't in the list of registered voters.

Can I still show up to my polling place and do my thing, or should I just find someone who's voting against me and we'll both agree not to go?
 
if you didnt get that yellow paper thing listing your name and where you are to register, then when you go to register, they will block you. You can still try if they registered you last minute and you didnt get the mail in time, but then you need to guess where you will be registered to vote. I thought I was going to register at an elementary school near me, but instead i was assigned to some middle school a little bit further away....
