So I picked up a 32x and some games for it at goodwill the other day looks to be in great shape, but I think I think I am missing some cables to hook it up.
Anyone actualy still have one of these and can tell me what I am missing?

I thought you didn't need a cable. The 32X should plug right into the cartridge slot.

EDIT: pic added.

Ok, hmm.
It has AV in and out jacks on the back of it. Thought I was missing a cable that went from the Genesis to it...

I think the AV outs supersede the outputs on the back of the Genesis when you have a 32X connected.

I remember just sliding it where the cartridge slot is. What a piece of crap btw. I think I spent $250 on it. What a waste.

I must have slaved about 70 hours at Burger King just to buy that crap and it gave me zero enjoyment

ok its not quite working, I tried playing Doom, and the health bar at the bottom of the screen is there, but nothing else.
Similar thing with star wars, i get the outline of the x-wing but no tie fighters on the screen.

I think I saw them at TRU for $30 brand-new about 8 years ago. Thought about getting one to go with my Sega CD, but couldn't find any games that I thought would be worth it. I do remember a few games that required the Sega CD and the 32X that were fairly impressive graphically for the time.

yah.

That Genesis was the crappy one :p

That's the only one I ever used! Mind you, most of my systems were imports, so my "NES" is beige and red :p

Yes, I still have mine here hooked up. There is actually one bus cable running from the 32X to the Genesis. If you run without it, it'll work *kind of*, but some elements of the games won't show up and most will be unplayable.

**EDIT: Heh,see you found this out already  Reading the whole thread FTW.

HEHE I remember the 32x, i had one way back in 1995....it was the first console I ever played Doom on.

It inspired me to upgrade my PC so i would never have to play another FPS on a console.
