Already having flowers sent from my 9-month old to my wife and going to buy a "fun gift" from Spencer's. Now I am trying to decide between a Day at a spa or a diamond bracelet.

Day at spa is good for relaxation and enjoyment. Bad because it doesn't last.

Jewlery is good because that is what she asked for (though I don't like giving what my SO asks for on Valentine's). Bad because my 9-month old will probably break it....he's already broken two necklaces...one I just got her for Christmas.

I dunno..thats a hard one. She may like the idea of a quick get-a-way with the spa idea. Personally, i would go for the bracelet. Youre right in saying that she can keep the jewelry for a while. what kind of bracelet, btw?

White gold bracelet with diamonds.

I did the spa a couple of years ago for her birthday and she loved it and has mentioned how she wanted to go again.

with a 9 month old, i'd go for the spa... i'm sure she'd like a day to relax and to be able to do it without worrying about the baby

Is it like a tennis bracelet? If you want to surprise her, get her the spa package now, and then get her the bracelet for an anniversary or birthday gift. Either way, she is gonna love the gift. You can't go wrong with either one!:D

Yep, tennis bracelet. I may just save the bracelet for our anniversary in August or for a celebration if she gets this job she is interviewing for. Her birthday is coming up in March and she is getting a bicycle with a child carrier (which she wanted for Christmas but I didn't see the point since it was cold and our son was not old enough for one yet).

Get her the spa certificate now -- she needs to relax with your little version running around!
