Last week I sent an email to the Academic Advisor to my faculty, asking about procedures for a letter of permission to take courses at another school and get transfer credits.

That was last wednesday, I got an email back saying that person forwarded my email to another person who will get back to me soon.

It's monday now, I haven't recieved even an 'I recieved your email, I'll look into it.' Response, the enrollment deadline in my classes quickly approaches, and the letter of permission takes a few days (up to 2 weeks) to process.

I've sent another email, I've called in, no avail. I can't really go in because my schedule during the weeek is so hectic. Regardless, WTF can't people give you a prompt god damned response? Whatever happened to being efficient?

How can I go about being pushy and getting a response without getting angry about it?

track the person down and call them. people are less likely to put things off when you are on the phone with them.

PSA: Do not rely on email when you have a question that demands a quick and accurate answer.
