On the 28th, it's delayed again because apaprently it takes UPS one whole ****** day to travel 27 miles from Cerritos to LA. The sad thing is that my package from Ohio via DHL was sent out on the 26th and got here on the 27th. GAH! I hate UPS :|.

Ive had a few issues with UPS.... one thing that is starting to annoy me is they are just leaving the package at my doorstep, which is fine if no one is there, but really, anyone can just walk in and take the damn thing

UPS is notified that there your package is waiting at the vendor for pickup.

So from the time UPS recieved your package... It took 24+ hours to deliver it, with a 4 hour stop in the middle (transfer from 18 wheel freight truck to home delivery truck), and then depending on how far along the delivery route you live... a few hours to get to you, delivery probably doesnt start till 8am.

So unless you payed for same day, or next day shipping... UPS's delivery was on time.
After all ground delivery is 3-5 days regardless of distance.


I see nothing wrong with your delivery... except maybe blame your vendor, for a 1 day delay.
Did you actually think that it would be picked up at your vendor, and delivered to your house from the same truck, in 2 hours, disregarding all the other packages on that same truck? You have to understand and trace the path your package followed.

Yep....vendor's fault....but even so, UPS got it to you. When using any shipping agent, you're going to hit a hub and spoke system or at least a sort center. Be glad that it didn't get put on the wrong truck or delayed or damaged for some other reason.

UPS is pretty good on average...Fed Ex isn't too bad either....Airborne is pretty hard on the packages (have seen many cracked laptop screens)....and USPS has crappy package tracking in heir system unless you ship registered mail or express.

It looks like your package is due on the 29th, UPS did nothing wrong unless you don't get it tomorrow.

And your saying that UPS has had it for 3 days is just factually not true. So far, they've only had it for one day.

UPS Ground = 3-5 days. They wont deliver it earlier IIRC.

UPS is wierd. one of my packages started in Oregon, was then routed all the way to Arizona, then to california. Would have made more sense to go to california but nevertheless the package came on time

sometimes they will. i had a ups ground 3-5 day deliver from WI and it came next day. granted i was really shocked but it has happened! also helps the UPS delivery driver for my area was a friend of mine..that could have helped ya think? heh

priority mail is generally pretty quick. I got some free samples shipped to me in 2 days (okay, the box was less than 1 pound, but whatever.)

UPS took more than A WEEK to get me something from CA. I ordered last Monday; it arrived yesterday. I ordered something from newegg on TUESDAY (fedex), it arrived THURSDAY.

EVEN WORSE, the box arrived WET with half of it CAVED IN. There was a buttload of clear tape covering the damaged region. WTF. AND something was MISSING from the package (MOMO wheel w/o the power supply).

The box is in godawful shape. It's in-fvcking-credible. I didn't think you could abuse a box this much. They must've tried to ford (sp) the Mississippi with it, like in Oregon Trail... except without the wagons, trail, or the fun...just UPS retardation.

I'm paying extra for fedex/dhl now.
