My frickin package got shipped via UPS on June 9th (from Michigan) and for some frickin reason it has been traveling all around the country. It's last stop is Hodgkins, IL and the stupid tracking thing says delivery is scheduled for June 16th!! I HATE UPS!! They BLOW!

🙁 I don't understand it, why would it take so long from Michigan to Virginia... ! My package could have gone to vacation with me ! 🙁

I'm sorry and I feel for ya, but me picturing you looking at the UPS site and saying "WTF is my package going?" is funny.

ups sucks, heres a few reasons:

1) you cant change the destination address until they make at least one delivery attempt (this really screws ppl who order stuff and it gets shipped to the wrong address)

2) you can not request that ups NOT deliver the item, but instead leave it at a costumer counter for pick up. ups 'must' make at least one delivery attempt

3) if they attempt to deliver your item and you werent home to pick it up, you can not pick it up until the NEXT day. fedex leaves you a note with the location you can pick it up at after 6:00pm of THAT day

4) when shipping computer components ups OPENS the package to check for proper packaging if the insured value is >$2000. this caused me much grief one day because the ups driver mislabeled my packages and a monitor, packed very tight, was mistakenly insured for $2000 and the person that opened it up didnt put all of the packaging material back inside (there were only 3 huge foam pieces) and as a result the monitor was cracked upon delivery. and fyi they initially denied my insurance claim on the basis that i didnt pack the item properly. it wasnt until i discovered the insurance goof up that they honored the claim - for the cost of the monitor, not $2000. and, yes, i did quote the cost of the monitor in canadian dollors =)

1+2) yes, you can.. you just have to know the right people

3) that's because fedex stops deliveries/pickups by 6 pm. UPS continues until everything is done. UPS drivers often don't get home until 7-7:30 pm on normal nights, and as late as 9 during the holidays

4) UPS is quite the ghey when it comes to insurance claims and packaging requirements.. but typically can also be avoided when you know the right people

What can brown do for you?

Brown can come outta my butt and go down the toilet!

I also remember when a UPS guy drove down my street (yes i saw him drive down and leave). I then called up UPS to ask about my package and they said the driver said that the address didn't exist. So naturally i confirmed the address with them to make sure they had the right info. It was all correct. I was screaming at them and saying "how can my address not exist when i'm living here and calling from here?". Arrgghhh!

This had me rolling! 😀

Seriously, I've had UPS leave big expensive boxes on my porch. One of these days I'm gonna start saying, "what package?" :|

Well the company that sends my package denied to send it through Fedex although I told them I would pay extra.

And one thing, UPS left my friends, $6k Canon Digital Camera outside of his apartment! WTF are they thinking....

They don't leave packages with a value declared over $2k, so the sender must not have insured it for the full value.

I've never had a problem with UPS...my Axim from the latest Dell deal was shipped today from Maumee, OH via Ground, should be here (Ann Arbor, MI) tomorrow! How's that for speed?
