YATT, Yet another tax thread.

I went to HRBlock yesterday to get my taxes done since i thought it would be faster. They want to charge me $125(and change) for getting back $727 ($605 federal, $122 state).
Long story short:
Last year i worked in two states, i also moved across the country and was told that i could get tax breaks. I didnt have a clue how to file that stuff so thats why i thought that it would be good to get help. I did not think that i would be charged this much, they asked for the money up front then they told me that it would be direct deposited in my account in 8 days. I had the money ready to pay (the $125) but i told them that i get paid on friday and asked if i could wait (to buy time to ask other people). They kept my papers (wasnt expecting that) so i dont know if i HAVE to use them now or what.

any thoughts would be great.

stay away from HR Block

the rapid refund is really an anticipation loan for your refund with a huge interest rate

did they keep all your copies of W2's and other forms? If not just use the info to do it on turbo tax online and get the money

They did keep the copies.
I wasnt going for a rapid refund, i dont believe. Otherwise i would probably get it the same day, i can wait to save money.
They told me it would be 8-15 days to get it in my bank account.
