Cops use Taser on pastor in church parking lot

Moran's son Miguel said 30 witnesses saw the officer turn aggressive and repeatedly kick the church door. Several members were hit with pepper spray and children were present, Miguel Moran said.

"They treated him as if he were a drug dealer or murderer, but he is a pastor that tries to help the community," Moran said. "The police always want to be right but they are not."

Heart condition
Moran's wife, Maria, said she tried to help her husband after he was hit with the Taser but police threatened to arrest her.

"My husband has a heart condition and with electrocution who knows what could've happened," Maria Moran said, referring to the Taser's electrical shock.

Is it me or does every taser victim have a heart condition?

This article claims that the situation was recorded, presumably by the officer's car camera.

When the video is released, we'll see who's a lying piece of shit. If it's the pastor, he'll go to jail. If it's the cop, he'll get a paid vacation while his department "investigates" and inevitably clears him of any wrongdoing.

It really depends entirely on the situation and if any dashcam footage is released.

The way it's being described now, it's impossible to tell who lost their cool. Of course the cop will say that the pastor was being a problem and vice versa.

I can only say from what I read on the article but in the article it looks like he was interefing with the traffic stop which is illegal and then tried to arrest him. The pastor pushes the officer and went to get his "posse" of church goers. Sounds like the cop was in the right on this one as far as the facts go right now.
