I was wondering on the yate loons. Are the "high" speed loons physically the same as the low speed. Only difference is they capped the max RPMs?

I was wondering because I want the quietness of the slow speed loons and the CFM of the highspeed when I use my fan speed contoller.

If they cost the same should i get the high speed?

I am worried about noise.

These fans are for case fans.

Didn't I see this in another section? No, I thought I had already replied to this - guess it didn't take. The main diff between the YLs are the motors but their noise to CFM curves are different. One recent comparo of a bunch of 120 mm fans tested both the SL and the SM version. But I've forgotten where the test was. It was referenced a number of times in the C&C section. I don't think I'd get the SH as it would probably stall before you could turn it down enough. While the SM can be turned down into the SL speed zone with decent results.

Found the test link: http://www.xtremesystems.org/f...howthread.php?t=137832

but you'll quickly find out, there isnt a drastic difference in noise from high and low.

Yates are really quiet, expeciallly once mounted.
