If you can, avoid buying tires from Sears, they are quite high.

Naturally, and justifiably, they won't repair a tire if it's been mistreated or been on wheels out of alignment. If one side is bald it means that your car was not riding properly, causing uneven wear on the tire. Of course sears won't repair/replace it! Get a new tire and fix the issue so that it doesn't buggar the next tire.

i'm not intending on having the car more than 8000 more miles. so i dont want to buy new tires.

If you need a tire for now, go to a used tire place. I'm sure a used will last 8000 more miles.
