This weekend we switched my company over to some new software and a lot of the PCs were just left at the log in screens with the administrator user name left on it.

We got tons of calls from users saying they couldn't log in because they didn't know the administrator password or didn't even bother to look at the user name.

the worst part is that a lot of them didn't even know what their user names were!

Friend's computer was FUBAR. I got sick of trying to fix it so I told him to do a clean install (didn't have time to do it myself). During XP setup, dude decided that the boot partition was too big and he would just reallocate some space to his storage partition.

Dude couldn't figure out why he ended up with a blank (albeit marginally bigger) storage partition with hundreds of gigs of documents, music, movies and porn lost.
