YASTT - if you get a ticket in NJ, but live in PA...

Most likely no. But you should pay it ASAP. If you don't, NJ might talk to PA and then issue points.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you do. NJ will probably send it to PA no matter what - most states do. My brother got a ticket in PA and it showed up on his NJ license. Waylman, see if NJ has a deferred judgement option where you pay the fine but you don't get points unless you have another ticket in the next 3 years.

Where in NJ did you get the ticket?

where in NJ? Hell if I know...I actually have 2 tickets in NJ but I have no idea what borough/county or whatever the hell you call it (Im Canadian). Does it make any difference where in NJ I got the tickets?

No, it doesn't matter where in NJ you got the ticket, I was just wondering if it was in my area... because then I'd tell you to stay the hell out of NJ. 😉 We call them counties in NJ... like every other state in the US except Louisiana (parishes). You're a canadian that moved to PA? Learn the geography! 😉

Just go to court. They'll most likely remove the points and higher up the fine.

The court system is a business. They want money.
