I sold a laptop battery to an AT member in Canada. There was some problem and the envelope wasn't delivered - he had to go to the post office to get it. Anyway, when he finally got it, the envelope was torn and had a hole in the side.
The PM:
It was a large Global Priority Mail flat rate envelope with just the battery and some padding. I did not buy insurance. I will do that next time.
Does anyone have experience with this and have any suggestions, besides "this is why I never ship to Canada?" Please let me know. Thanks.
Do you think I should refund the buyer's money in full? I think I probably should, but I want AT's advice.

There was a Global Priority envelope there waiting for me but it was .. gasp .. EMPTY!...There is nothing there but the shipping foam and a hole in the side. I suppose big enough for something like a battery to slip through? I opened it before noticing the rip, feeling suprised that it's so damn light. I asked the postal lady and she said there is nothing they can do.
