Calif. woman arrested for speeding three times in one hour

Police say a woman was released from jail Monday, two days after Central Valley authorities cited an arrested her for speeding three times in one hour.
CBS San Francisco reports that according to the California Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Lynne Cahill-Gomez of Hayward was arrested in Saturday night in Yuba County, north of Sacramento.

Law enforcement officials say she was driving her SUV at 103 miles per hour on Highway 70 at about 8:10 p.m.

Twenty minutes later, authorities said Cahill-Gomez was pulled over again for traveling at 105 miles per hour.

Police said the third incident occurred 40 minutes later when officers caught her traveling 76 miles per hour in a 55 zone. She was arrested for reckless driving.

i think she should have just called 911 for her mum

Holy crap, someone beat that lady with an ugly stick.

And not just any kind of ugly stick, they must have used an industrial grade ugly stick.

She must be thinking after the first one, "well I got caught by the cop but at least now I'm free."
Then, "Crap another one."
Finally, "How many cops are there in this state?"

"I've never driven 100 mph, so I didn't know my car could even go 100 mph, but I wasn't worried about that I was worried about my mom,"

Yeah - fuck all those other people on the road - her mom fell on her knee!

i think she should have just called 911 for her mum

What - like they have some sort of special rules that give them right of way so they can get places quickly legally or something?

no, i mean instead of trying to drive 100 miles or however far to help her mother, she should have just called someone near her mother (ambulance) to go help her mother

my eldest child is at college 150 miles away, if i got a call saying "i've fallen and i can't get up!", i am not going to jump in the car and try to drive there @100 mph , i am going to call the university police to go to the dorm and check

Which officer did she tell this story to? If she had told any of them, could they have not called an ambulance for good old mom?

This does not pass the smell test.
