yast: removing skunk odor?!?!

well we're all eating at my friend's place, and suddenly his dog comes running in reeeking with skunk smell!!! ugh...the animal manages to clear the entire house as I'm posting wireless standing on the patio table so she doesn't touch me!

my friend's trying to chain her up and hose her down but damn lab's just running around barking profusely. i'm doing google search and it's coming up with using tomato sauce. how much do i need - will ten big ass cans do??!!

Try this one, uses hydrogen peroxide and baking soda.

Tomato paste works well, but you have to let it sit which can dye the skin and hair red (obviously)

Tomato juice is the recommended method for getting rid of skunk scent, from what I understand. Don't know how much you need though.

If I recall correctly, I've also heard that Massengil (aka douche) works as well. Seriously.

oh, for a greyhound (large dog, short fur) I think I used 6 large containers of douche - for a lab you will need more

Shiet... Good Luck buddy! Knowing dogs and that they SHAKE like "Vido Loco" when wet... you have one h*ll of a mess to clean afterwards....
