So, taking the trash cans to the curb tonight, I felt a spider web on the handle of the trash can.....(yeow)......instant reflex pulling hand back.

Took a flashlight & noticed black widow up under the rim. (Far enough from my hand, but definitely her web!!!)

So, I knew I'd seen at least a couple others, so I decided to take a flashlight around the outside of the house. BLACK WIDOWS EVERYWHERE!!!!

No less than a dozen, for sure, & some either 'discolored' black widows or something similar.

Need to get rid of 'em.........war starts this weekend!!! :beer:

P.S. Reason I said 2008=YOTS, is because I've NEVER seen so many spiders before!!

No, I wasn't bit, just jumped 'cuz BW webs are always EXTREMELY thick and strong!!


From what I'm reading, that wasp & hornet spray stuff is supposed to be about the best. (Somebody said "hairspray" but I dunno). I found one in my BBQ last year & Q'd that sucker..... 😀

Wife's girlfriend's husband is an exterminator, but have never asked for the "favor" before.

It's not really rocket science. You could spray just about any household chemical on them, and they will die.

Rubbing alcohol.

I use butane on anything in the house.
