Actually, most of my friends are female, I have only a couple close guy friends with whom I can go out and do stereotypically guy stuff. Almost everone with whom I discuss deeper subjects or philosophy or whatever weird things are going on with me is female. I've certainly never had a problem with them coming on to me, and I should hope that they have not had problems feeling that I was coming on to them.

ZV

EDIT: So yeah, to actually answer the question, I would be fine with it if my theoretical girlfriend's friends were mostly male.

I just wanted to comment on my experiances. I'm in the same boat as this guy. All my good/best friends are girls. It's been that way since the 6th grade. I just can't help it. I've been backstabbed by too many guy friends. Lol, one of which I never told the ATOT crowd, but it was HUGE. 🙁 Happened about a month ago.

Anyways, my S.O. has ALWAYS had a problem with it. I've dated her since the 7th grade on and off. Total we've dated for 3 1/2 years and we've had a bestfriend/entamit (sp?) relationship for some 6-7 Years, now? Working on 7. So she's dealt with it a lot. The thing you HAVE to have is utter trust that she is yours and that you are her's.

We went through the whole "You can't talk to her!!" situation, where she forbid me to associate with certain girls and I lost a lot of close friends (hey I was young) to a more mature way of handling it where she get's "upset", or doesn't like it, but deals with it.

Just know that some people can't deal well with the same sex or that they have had bad situations with them.

Goodluck.

Aww yes, the infamous "guys and girls being friends" topic. Here's the postulate:

If a girl has guys that are her "friends," they DO want to get in her pants. Here's a simple test you can have her play out in her mind: if her and one of her friends were hanging out alone, she suddenly tore her own shirt off, straddled her friend, started to unzip his pants, and whisper, "Don't worry, no one will know," would he stop and say, "Wait! Stop! I don't want to ruin our friendship!" Doubt it.

Q: But what if he already has a girlfriend?
A: A man is as faithful as his options, naturally. However, what goes on in his own mind... I'm sure, not sure platonic. Watch how quickly that changes once that relationship ends. The only thing from keeping him from taking action is consequences and reprocussions from his current gf should she find out. 1) You think the internet is fast? Nothing beats the women's network. 2) Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn...

Q: Aren't there ANY exceptions?!
A: Yes.
1) Gay men. I mean, FLAMING.
2) Guys who think your girl is ugly, but has hot friends.
3) In-laws / By association. Also known as virtual friendship, because if you ever broke up with your gf, these friendships would be severed. As soon as one of them asks her to hang out alone, be wary. No longer an exception.

Note: Throw ALL exceptions out the window once heavily alcohol consumption comes into play.

F$^# you and your post, dude. That's exactly what my best friend did to me.

At first, I was semi-alright with it. No. A better word would be "shocked" and I had no clue what to do or say. Then some nutF3ck talked me into believing that "if I was in the same situation, I'd do the same thing" f2ck that, man.

I'd NEVER do that crap to another guy. I don't care if the girl has a box made out of sweet sweet honey and wanted to pay me with gold nuggets. Screw it, man. SOME people have morals and are able to be trusted.

You obviously aren't one of them. Glad we aren't friends.

I should point out that they most likely want to bang her - the majority of guy/girl non sexual relationships have that aspect in them - the guy wants the girl, regardless of whether it will ever actually happen.

pipster, I would never date you. And you hang out with the wrong crowd.

Likewise. Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out before we played mind games with each other, aren't you? I respect our differences.

Did you make the assumption that I do this to girls? That I even have girls as "friends?!" Pahahahahaha!

I have a loving relationship with my gf, 39 months, to the day. And no friends that are girls. I got guy friends to hang out with, talk about football, video games, computers, etc. If I need any insight from a girl perspective, that's what my gf's there for. I'm a straight shooter, and I keep it real, especially for my gf, since she deserves it. I'm sick of the mind games, probably like you.

Nevertheless, if you're glad we aren't friends... i can't change your mind. I was just trying to do a service to the fellow atot'ers, telling them to beware of people like your former best friend. If my friend ever conned my gf into anything that crossed the line, i'd shoot him in the face.

i believe a good portion of that was taken from here, so maybe direct the flames to that guy??

edit: it's not a direct quote i don't think, but the idea came from there.

You said ALL guys would do it if they had the chance. Unless you've had some operations lately, you fall into the category of ALL guys. So either your statement is incorrect and you prove that by being faithful to your gf no matter the situation, or your statement is right and you're a SOB and we have the right to flame you.

Remember my test? I said that I "doubt" most guys would respond that way. This implies a majority, not an absolution. But if you insist, ok, ok... my apologies, i had my euphemism machine turned off... MOST guys, there are exceptions to any rule.

How is my statement incorrect by being faithful with my gf? It's as much a woman's responsibility to their men in line as it is for guys. We see it as nothing personal, it's a result of living in crazy twisted society. I NEVER have the chance because why woman satisfies me. I can only wish the same on all you guys (and gals), don't settle for less than you can get.

Nevertheless, I agree with you as far as flaming. Bring it, it keeps me from being bored at work. 😎

Aw drats, I was just getting ready to kiss and make up. 😉 Hope your day at work improves!

Likewise. Btw, just curious, you have a bf? If so, does HE have any girls as friends?

No bf at present. When I had a bf, the majority of his friends were males (the same guys that are my friends now). The girls he was friends with never bothered me. If there's one guy who was trustworthy in that situation, and all his guy friends agreed, it was my bf. He went away to school when we were still dating and made friends with a lot of girls there, and that never bothered me. (I was more jealous that the entirety of college, just having a busy life, would leave no space for me than I was that a girl would steal him away.) Even after we broke up, he hasn't found himself another gf (nor any one night stands), happier just to enjoy college.
