YASailingT: Can a Sunfish accommodate 2 people?

I have a lead on a cheap Sunfish. I always wanted to learn to sail, and this could be a golden opportunity, but I'm wondering if I can bring my gf along for the ride...is it possible to squeeze 2 people onto a Sunfish?

My mom has a small sunfish, and we go out alot in the summer!
Just make sure you start out in a smaller lake!!!

My dad and I used to sail in his, but I wasn't a fully grown adult. Today, I doubt both of us could fit in.

I'll be using it in the calm NJ bays. I'm hoping to store it and get training by joining the local yacht club.

Basically I was talking about going on a sailing trip with my gf and I told her about this boat I saw which would be less than the cost of the sailing trip and she kinda said "Instead of paying $1200 for a 3-day trip, why not buy that boat from your boss for $800 and we can sail whenever we want to?"
Good point...I just wanted to make sure "WE" could sail

BTW we're fairly small...I'm 5'7" 170, she's 5'4" 120....
