YART: Where'd you find your roomates?

Hey guys, still live in res, but thinking about next year. If you have lived with, or do live with roomates, like in your own appartment / townhouse / whatever where did you meet them? Friends from home? People from school? Complete random strangers you looked up in the paper?

I go to school 7 hours from home, so I don't really know anyone that well that we would go and get together to rent a place, so I guess I'd just answer some billboard posting? Seems a little wierd to go and move in with people you've never met before doesn't it?

get a one bedroom apt.... unless ur living in the dorms, or people u know well, roommates usually end up being whack.... even from browsing these forums you see too many roommate probs @,.@

If you're feeling a little sleezy... get a trailer and hitch it at a park... I can't wait till the day comes I get to do this.

No, just pick ones that can give you something you lack. Bad with the ladies? Let a player move in and take the table scraps.

College buddies that have become close friends- we all agreed on one place and shacked up in a 4bed/4ba apartment to get out of the dorms. We have some damn fun times around here.

I share my dorm room with a guy I worked with in tech support at an ISP. I worked with him for 3 years of the 4 I worked there.

We didn't get along extremely well but honestly I'm glad I'm roomates with him over some of the other wackos on the floor.

My roommates are friends, but they can be a PITA, as all roommates will be.

Try to get a place by yourself, if you can't, ask some people around the dorms. I'm sure you don't want to move in with complete strangers.

Never had a problem with any of my random roommates except for the time one of them tried to kill me when I was sleeping.

The one and only roommate I ever had I got by posting a note on a bulletin board at school.

He happened to be looking at the board when I posted it. He snagged it and ran me down as I was leaving to ask me about it.

i played rugby with one of my roommates; him and one other guy needed 2 more guys to fill up the apt, and i needed a place, so that was it
