so...how does something pop from nothing?

be DEFINITION it *must* come out of nothing, since we're talking creation of mass here. (Big Bang)

Either the mass was always there, then the big bang is merely a "conversation process" - or there was really "nothing" and the BB created mass - the formula above doesnt apply or is invalid THERE :)

God has been and will always be. There was no beginning or will there be an end to God.

We can talk about this from now until 2012... The truth is we will never know. Some choose to believe in God, some choose to believe there are some questions that we do not have the capacity to explain at this point. I believe in the latter, not every secret of the universe will be figured out. For some people, these types of questions are easily solved by simply stating, "God created the big bang", for me I can accept the fact that some questions may never be answered. It doesn't mean I don't believe in God though.

My theory of everything:

The universe at the time is nothing. Vacuum fluctuations somehow cause "explosion". Matter wins out. We ask questions like this. Nuke ourselves. Universe dies a cold death. Everything decays. We are back to nothing. Maybe there will be another universe. Maybe not.

My question is since we are here because of some extra matter what happens if the reverse was true? Would we have an anti-universe?

How do you know if this is the only time we lived ? How do I know or not ? There may have been many worlds and universes for eternities. This is a school for us all and never ending learning experiences are still to come. We are eternal beings .. with no begining and no end in my view. Just my view though.

The Mayans say the world will end Dec. 22, 2012. We better hurry.

If God didn't create us, then who/what created the materials in the "big bang"?

Where did all that stuff come from?

perhaps it always was. u assume that something has to come from something. with that assumption, god would have to come from something too u know.

and as for the god of the major religions of today, that god wasn't always there. only for the last wink of time of 2000 years:p hehehe
