If God didn't create us, then who/what created the materials in the "big bang"?

Where did all that stuff come from?

Devils Advocate: If the Big Bang created the universe, what created the Big Bang? ;)

Edit: Dang, GoPack beat me to it

Hmm by your nickname and post count I see you are experienced at this. Perhaps an OT port? in any case...I had higher expectations of you

-1 for originality. Old question. I prefer to discuss new ideas. -1 for the use of "fanboi" in your sig. -.5 for assuming god is a "he".

2.5/10 on the Trollometer.

Here's your medal: :cookie:

Well, if we don't know - why do we assume a supreme being made it. Maybe, like with everything else we've come to understand - the concept at present completely escapes us. Of course the question posed is nby its very nature unanswerable, but that doesn't necessarily mean the logic I outlined above - and that applies to other unknowns - doesn't apply here too.

Cheers,

Andy

BTW - Isn't this thread a little "open"?

Holly crap... the Big Bang... we can't explain it... so therefore there must be one God that we all should worship. Just like before we can explain fire, natural weather phenomenons, electricity... and all the other craps that "God" created.

There was a god, but humans killed it in order to build a better, more profitable version.

Too much intuition there. What is the definition of "somewhere" when applied outside the known universe? If its there before the start of time does "come from" mean anything? Because we don't know or may never know does that mean a supreme being did it? I don't see how it does - unless you need an simple and easily comprehensible explaination. From my experience that isn't usually the way - quantum mechanics anyone?

Cheers,

Andy

Isn't there a Bush administration proposal to drill his head for oil?

Ok lets go basic....

E = mc ^2

So if mass = 0...no matter how fast nothing is going, you cant have energy.

so...how does something pop from nothing?

He failed to realize that matters (and anti matters) do pop in and out of existence, and this has been proven. And a crippled guy did prove that he knows a little more about that E=MC^2.

Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The issue of this discussion is that humans, having both a beginning (birth) and an end (death), are incapable of understanding that which has neither beginning or end, but is forever.

This thread is pointless, It might as well be titled "Do you believe in god?" I can not prove that he exists, especially on an internet board, but you can not prove that he does not exist.
