YART - iTunes sucks supreme donkey

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Everytime I hear a good song I get it on iTunes. Purchase it and download it.

So happy that I have that, that soothing sound turns out to be a nasty piece of crap.

Nasty. Hunk of scrappy, tinny, nasty stuff. It's god dang awful. I don't care about compression techiques, bs me to the end.......it sounds like crap.

I'm sticking to vinyl for decent audio, or CDs. Good god this crap is awful.

I agree, if I'm paying for the album/song, I better be getting at least FLAC, not this 192kbps AAC crap.

It doesn't sound like crap if you use the awesome buds that comes w/ the iPod or one of the many awesome Bose audio products that are 100% compatible w/ Apple products.

BTW, 99% of the people who buy from iTunes can't tell the difference between 128bit AAC and FLAC.

You lossless zealots are funny. And I bet you also have the $0.5-million equipment required to even think you notice a difference between 384kb MP3 and lossless FLAC?

I don't want to get into a format war....

but jebus, I've given it a chance and it sounds like complete and utter crap.

I give it chance after chance, thinking...maybe, just maybe it will be half-way decent.

but NO. I'm rewarded by nasty, ugly crap. Awesome songs that I'm forced to get on vinyl/cd.

good god!!!!! I'm listening to it now and it sounds like claws on a chalkboard.

What kind of high-end audio system are you using to listen to these songs, anyway?

seriously. On my Mirages and my onkyo setup w/ athena sub it sounds fine. Sure I can tell the difference between them and CDs/lossless (which I rip all my music in) and between that and vinyl and between that and SACD/DVD-A's but who cares?

Most of the Hip hop/underground hip hop stuff I lsiten to is mostly samples anyways...I lsiten for the lyrics...

as for the latin stuf...well, it sounds fine too...

Blueprint is the man ..hilarous stuff😀

Obviously I am no idiot and classical in that format will not do...

If it's classical, it has to be lossless or I won't waste my time with it (with a few exceptions...a certain rare recording of Rhapsody in Blue which I can't Find anywhere on amazon😱)

definately nott hi-end, but decent.

maring logans
decent pre-amp
decent amps
sony 777es source

That's the thing the 2-ch system brutailized them - nasty crap, but it is readidly apparent on the HT room.

Why don't you just set iTunes you DL your purchased music in the Lossless format then? It'll take a good while to DL, but thats you call.

People blame iTunes for having lossy quality, but are too stupid to look under the preferences and settings to adjust the DL quality.

Edit>Preferences, Advanced Tab, Importing Sub tab will allow you to adjust the level of quality you DL music and the level of quality you rip audio CDs from.

You have a problem with posting sentences tonight? I DLed one album in Lossless, and its the only album I ever will. Takes up too much space on my hdd, if all my iTunes music was in this lossless format, it'd quickly consume all my storage space.

they added this? I thought you could only purchase 128k AAC? never bought anything due to that, so I have no clue

FWIW, I've been able to pick out the lossless from the 320 MP3 on multiple occasions in double blind tests. if the source material is well-recorded, it's fairly easy.

Edit: ah, I see now. bah.
