goddamn SGU was awful, I really tried to watch it but it was just soooo damn boring, it was like big brother on a shitty boat.

FUCK that shit was bad.
 
I don't know what insults me more, that Hollywood thinks so lowly of moviegoers to come up with this unoriginal crap, or that moviegoers are so stupid to keep paying to watch this unoriginal crap.
 
About a third of the way into the second season through the end SGU was going pretty well and I would have liked to see another season or so, but they burned it out on too many people in the middle of the first season by being repetitive with bad complimentary story lines.

#1 - the original Stargate movie is one of my favorite movies of All Time. I don't care for the TV show, but I absolutely loved the movie. Why remake a great movie? That's like remaking BTTF or Indiana Jones.

#2 - why in the heck would they use the same director to do a reboot? Unless the first movie of the new trilogy is an entirely different story.

I guess if it's the original director and he does a different story, it could be cool. I loved the original - the music, the visuals, everything. Just really well put together. I hope they give him the latitude to do what he wants with the movie.

i would prefer a different director, the original Stargate movie never lived up to its potential. a different main actor would be nice too, the original was sub-par at best.
 
Awesome. We need more stargate.

At the end Stargate universe starting getting really great. Until then I was about to stop watching. Then it got really good and I really wanted to see more. Wish they had another season to see how it panned out. A lot of shows start off poor and turn into something great when given a chance. In the middle I was like, yeah this craps going to get canceled, then I was like DON'T CANCEL IT!

I liked the Stargate movie but I feel it had more potential and could have been greater. Liked all the other TV series too. Sucks that it all died and nothing is currently running. Wish we had at least something. A new star trek TV show would be awesome too. Like all the good Sci-fi dried up and died.
