When you read this word how do you say it in your head/out loud?

I pronounce it as "the", but I have a friend that insists that it is a unique word separate from "the", and as such must be pronounced as "tay".

Edit: I changed other to "teh" since it seems that's what people were using it for. If you voted other and meant something other than "teh", too bad.
 
I pronounce it "really not that funny"

aside from that, it's mispelled version of "the".. why would you pronounce it different?

If you know how to speak English, it should be pretty obvious how a three letter word containing one syllable is pronounced 😉

See, that's what I thought, but some people insist it's not a typo but a real word and must be pronoiunced differently.
