which do you prefer to watch, if any? ive been playing cards since i was a kid, for money for the last 10yrs. while the whole "poker craze" is funny IMO (its always been around, tv folks just figured out people will watch it on tv. duh.), i must admit i like to watch the wpt on the travel channel.

so, for those that like to watch, which show do you prefer?

btw, theres a show on travel channel now.
 
I used to watch, but as I got more educated about poker I became tired of how commercialized the broadcasts are (which they have to do for the average viewer). Celebrity is the absolute worst--most of them have no idea what they're doing and that Newsradio guy is an ignorant tool.
 
WPT and WSOP are tied. WSOP is probably better but there isn't enough of it. The main event is just too cool.

You're also missing a few other shows on there. Like Poker Superstars on Fox Sports Net and this new E! Hollywood homegame show.
 
WSOP - all the top players are there. Plus, the table chatter is better. Although seeing Doyle just destroy Lee a couple weeks ago was great.
 
I watched the Celebrity Poker Showdown Final the other day and I can't figure out how in the world did some of them made it to the final.

Dennis Rodman, how did that moron made it to the final ??
I can't imagine him winning the first time around....that idiot kept playing every freakin hand. Its like whenever he sees at least 1 face card, he has to be in.

And then some of those idiot folded when they are already in for the big blind...WTF ???
 
WPT is marginally better than WSOP.

The celebrity stuff is funny, just because of how bad it is. I am actually watching the one on E now and it's hilarious. McCully Culkin vs. the small girl from that 70's show.

id have to say the one on E!. showdown has the audience, but thats just an excuse for the players to make lame jokes.

ive seen one episode of the wpt celebrity game, and it was wasnt as bad.
 
I guess it depends on what you think about poker. I don't think much of it really. As a result, I enjoyed watching the Celebrity poker and couldn't give a darn for the real poker tournament shows.
