This is one of the best segments I can remember seeing on the Daily Show.

We all knew that Palin's 'executive experience' claims were about being mayor of a town of 7,000, but I did not know until this segment that the town does not run any fire department, any education system, any social services at all - leaving the current mayor in the interview, after giving "an unequivocal yes" to the question whether mayor of Wasilla is enough to make her qualified as VP of the US, to stammer about what she did, coming up with 'staff meeting Mondays, check siging Thursdays'.

This is just devastating played against the clips of Palin talking about how she had "real responsbilities" unlike Obama.

While the segment was discussed in another post, I started this thread now that I got a link to the video, and think it easily deserves a thread:

How she, Palin, can think she's ready and then how that current mayor who unbelievably looks even worse can think the same, is just pure proof of the delusions that some people live under. The only person who thinks Palin is ready to be VP is Palin. What a disgusting lack of self-awareness.

Nope. When asked if he thinks Palin is ready or qualified to be Vice President, or to become President if he were incapacitatae, JohnMcCain has repeatedly answered, "absolutely."

That's an absolutely disgusting lack of judgment.

To be fair - I'm sure the daily show clip left things out from that interview. But she's still a moron.

Would it look worse that he chose and backed someone that he now admits is as worthwhile as a bag of rocks? Hell, you could at least throw the rocks at picketers.... Not to say it wouldn't be the right thing to do, but when has politics ever been about the right thing to do? :p

EDIT:

It'd actually be fine if she resigned and McCain simply "was saddened but respects her decision."

Definitely edited for comedy but the blank stare and dead air when asked to qualify that 'unequivocal yes' answer was priceless. I was waiting for Jason Jones to go 'Bobs' on her and drop the, What wouldja say you do here? (@ :50)
