Yet Another "Paper" Thread

No, my paper is not due tomorrow (due on Wed). However, I would like to start on my paper early so I have enough time to research or what not. The problem is, I don't know what to write about. I have to write a paper about a "social phenomenon." For example: What makes a serial killer, a serial killer? Why are most basketball players black? How many adults are going (back) to college these days versus 3 decades ago. How sexual harrasment reports have risen over the years.

The thing is, my topic cannot be cliche (eg: why are divorce rates increasing? why have abortion rates increased?) Can you guys help me think of a social phenomenon?

The increase in anti-social tendencies in teenage males. Is there any relation to the development of the internet as an easily accessable, increasingly popular communications medium?

That sounds like a very good topic but it may be tough for me to find information corrolating the 2 subjects. How about a topic along these lines:

The Internet Revolution: How the internet has changed American culture

It sounds good but I think it's still too broad. Can you guys think of any other topics for me to write about?
