YANOT: Why?

Yes the NO disaster is sad and all, but who's bright idea was it to build a city UNDER sea level right next to the sea? I mean if you were a couple hundred miles inland I could understand, but on the coast and under sea level? Aren't you just asking for nature to flood you?

It wasn't that low lying back then. The city has actually sunk since then, due to natural and man-made sources.

i think when they originally built it it wasn't under sea level. it started sinking under the weight of the buildings.

Our administration's way of population control. Kill off the poor by the thousands little by little. Why else do we have thousands of our brightest thinkers employed by major thinktanks. They been planning this for ages.

Same reason why they are keeping our high school systems crappy. Can you imagine a population of educated poor actually questioning our government? Keep em' poor and keep em workin 2 jobs..

It's true. It's like all that crazy alien stuff they found out at Roswell. You think they're just going to say they have it? No way. And AIDS. You think they're just going to say that they made it to kill queers? You're out of your mind.

Fight teh man!

two things that really pissed me off in recent days about how this whole new orleans rescue is going:

1) When they were giving out the $2,000 bank cards... some guy gets on teevee bit*hing about how it was not enough and what was he gonna do with $2,000? He needed at least $10,000. to start and he should sue.

2) The red cross was looking to recruit new volunteers. They say they need ppl to make beds, clean the bathrooms and serve food. Erm... the disaster happened two weeks ago... about time these ppl made thier own beds, cleaned their own bathrooms and served their own food now? Thousands of ppl there and none of them wanna pitch in?
