yanmar diesel garden tractor?

Parts may be a bit harder to find, but seems like they are very well built. the same engine is used in some sailboat applications and should last 3k hrs.

any guidance on that?

looking at this guy... seems like a good price with all the attachments. I can always find new bearings and stuff, or adapt to someone elses on the deck when/if it needs them. I see some JD 300 series for sale around the same price, but with just a mower deck or mower deck and blade. new driveway will be a couple hundred feet long and most of it gravel.

Aren't they about 30 years old now? If so, $3K seems steep to me for any garden tractor that age. Granted it comes with a snow blower and trailer.

Yea, early 80s. Newer for 3 k with attachments seems to get you a big box version of the popular brands, still used though.

I can't speak for the tractor, but we have even older Yanmar diesels powering 3" and 4" pumps and gensets that still our go-to's for reliability. They just seem indestructible with just normal maintenance.
Although they do seem to be a little "greasier" than our other diesels.

thought i would give you an update. bought a 95' cub cadet 1641. 46 deck, snow blower, plow, new cart. under my 3k budget with a new set of blades, filters for the transmission and engine and even a rebuild kit for the CV joint on the shaft drive for the transmission. It runs great and cut my overgrown yard very well.

I am going to replace the headlights with an led light bar and put a couple lights on the back. Hoping to find a 3 point kit and aux hydraulic kit for it as well.
