This is old news. I know it's a new story on ESPN but there have been rumours about this for months now. And Leo has come out publicly saying he has no desire to go to New York and as long as Atlanta is willing to pay him comparably, he would much rather stay where he is.

It'd take a miracle for Leo to leave Atlanta, the front staff knows that they have one of the best pitching coaches to ever live and there's no way they'd let a cornerstone of their organization leave without a fight.

damn i was going to stay out too. ;)

it's always possible, anyone can be swayed by money and with Time Warner running the braves, they are stupid enough to let mazzone get away.

It's funny you use the term "swayed". What's up with the rocking this guy does in the dugout? It makes me nuts every time the camera shows him.

but seriously, the yankees need mazzone just so he can straighten out Wright. ;)

it would suck if mazzone left the braves but at this point, i think change would be good, the leadership as we have it seems good at winning divisions (best ever i guess) but not so good at winning World Series. i'm tired of winning divisions, i want to see a couple of rings, even if it means a couple of subpar rebuilding seasons.

True, but now the Yanks actually can talk with him if they wish... so it's kind of like news :p

Just thought it would be interesting to some.

EDIT: I agree though, I don't think Mazzone will leave. Mazzone and Cox must be the best of friends spending so much time in the dugout together, and have been quite the team, leading this team to division win after division win.
