I'm happy too, but we can't have a thread about every game!

I find it hard to hate the Yankees, because most of the players on the team (Jeter, A-Rod, Williams, Martinez etc) are pretty much class acts. I just don't like the fact that baseball has allowed the salary disparity to get so out of control that only a handfull of teams can really compete from year to year. The Yankees (Steinbrenner) are just doing what any smart owner would do -- take full advantage of that situation. Can't blame the Yankees, but I blame baseball.......

Still, I have to say I get a little smirk on my face every time they lose, and it was wonderful to see the Sox beat them last year. Then again, the Sox are the second highest paid team in MLB, so it wasn't exactly David and Goliath. More like Goliath and his younger brother.

This makes 3 wins in a row for the Yanks. The last two games before tonight were shutouts.
:(

I chose to quote this post as opposed to others to point out how moronic Yankee fan's can be. To gloat over the Yankees getting 3 wins in a row is just stupid, they're the Yankees, right? A three game win-streak should be small potatos, I just had to laugh that you used it as something to stick your chest out about. They squeaked out a victory in the 8th today and got lucky once again, Johnson's injury will give out on him in one of his next few starts and he'll never be worth a fraction of what you paid for him. Gotta love the 14-19 record, gotta love that Georges' horse has yet to finish his run in the derby, and most certainly gotta love when a Yankee's fan chooses to gloat after a meger 3 wins in a row, especially after shutting out offensive powerhouse (not) Oakland. I only respect TP as a Yankees fan on here, the rest of you need to show some humility and stop contributing to the Yankee fan hater stereotype that is reinforced day in-day out... that is all.

I'm a Yankee fan, and you're an idiot. We're 4 games under .500 and the Sox are on fire. This is the most # of games in the season since 1925 that its taken us to win 3 games in a row. This is nothing but hopefully a good start to a streak.

eh, maybe he didn't need to point it out that way, but he's no idiot for mentioning it.
Yanks fans gotta stick together not stick it to each other.

I chose to quote this post as opposed to others to point out how moronic Yankee Haters are. Only 10 years ago people were laughing at us, only 10 years ago the Yankees were a second rate team, even with the likes of Mattingly. People didn't give us a chance against Edgard Martinez and the Mariners. Now idiots like yourself laugh at fans of a team who are proud of their achievements whether they are significant or not. Your ignorance is only furthered by your hatred as you begin to babble on about things that no one here has mentioned (Steinbrenner's horse, 14-19 record). This was a thread created to celebrate something nice, something Yankee fans haven't been able to celebrate since they collapsed last Fall, and an idiot Yankee hater like yourself has to reinforce your stereotype of badgering Yankees fans just for the sake of being a Yankee fan. With that being said, Go Yankees!

Ok.. there are 20-something other teams who haven't done crap compared to the Yankees, let alone since last Fall, why shouldn't their fans do the *happy dance* everytime their team wins 3 in a row? So you guys choked last year and deserved it, boo-fucking-hoo, but how narrowminded are you to forget the championships they bought (not won) in the past 10 years while other teams try and try but don't have the same financial power to compete. You're days of celebrating are numbered and now that number is thankfully running out, you had your days to celebrate, and to do so now over a frickin' three game winning streak is rediculous. Just be happy the Yanks are creeping back to .500 and sit on your hands about it.. or don't and post about it on here so I can snicker about it.
