its ok, the angels will take you down in the first round gain

Oh god no...not a Yanks fan.

BOOOOOOOOOOO

I am a Phillies fan unfortunately, but god I hate the Yanks....Awesome to see the only team in baseball history to have a 3-0 lead in the AL championship last year, only to get beat out by the Sox.

I was never off the bandwagon. Always a faithful fan.

its all working out to have the Red Sox playing the Yankees in the playoffs again.

the real winner = MLB

yeah looks like it's Yankees - Red Sox in ALCS

I'm confused... Red Sox won on Friday... First of a three game series.
Yankees won today... Second of a three game series.
I thought that if the Red Sox won tomorrow, they'd be tied with the yanks? Or am I just wrong?

"Under baseball rules, the Yankees (95-66) clinched the division over Boston (94-67) because of Cleveland's loss to Chicago in the AL Central. The loss by the Indians (93-68) eliminated the possibility of a three-way tie -- and an unprecedented two-game, three-team tiebreaker -- and gave New York the East because the Yankees clinched the season series against Boston, 10-8."

No, if Red Sox lost tomorrow and Cleveland wins they'll force a one game play off on Monday between these 2 teams.

You know the Yankee are going to try their best to beat the Red Sox tomorrow. The last thing they want are the Red Sox in the playoffs.

Joe Torre just announced that Mussina probably won't be the starter tomorrow and that he's going to rest most of his starters. I think the Yankees are going to give that game away.

I guess I was wrong then.

weird, even if red sox lose, they can still get in the playoffs as they would be at worst tied with cleveland. then there would be a 1 game play in between bosox and indians.

if the sox beat the yankees tomorrow then they are in like flynn.

interesting season.

Great scenario: red sox lose tommorow, play monday and win, Yankes vs red sox in ALCS, Yankees win, Braves and Yankees for the word series would be so freaking awesome(you know it would).

Are you nuts... Cards/Yankees is far more appealing. Even Astros/Yanks is better since that means Clemens and Pettitte would pitch against the Yanks.
