regardless of what you guys say (about it being just ONE loss), the loss definitely does a number to you head.

Especially with a team like NY, it's friggin embarrasing for them and their fans. Sure it's one loss, but a truely embarrassing one which they want to forget.

Why is it that Red Sox fans complain that Yankee fans dwell on championships that we won and then go an brag about a game they had nothing to do with, does nothing for them, other than give them one game, and is a complete fluke? So sad to be a Red Sox fan.

Don't be hatin because your team was utterly embarassed in front of their home fans, on their home field....now that I think about it, kind of reminds me of when the Marlins won the Championship last year...on the Yankees field....in front of the Yankees fans....

At least the Yankees have one more distinction: Worst loss in American League history!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! At least the Yankees can shrug it off and hang their hats on their championships (not that they need to). :D This is just one game in their long and storied franchise.

Actually, sir, 3 touchdowns (with one point field goal conversions) would be 21 points, NOT 22 ;)

At any rate, that was a nice showing by Curt Schilling tonight against the Angels. Hopefully my Angels rebound for the next game against your squad.

Peace

Flukes are things like having a ball roll through your legs or swinging at a bad pitch and hitting a homerun. Having the worst loss ever in a 101-year history is more than just a fluke.

It's a play on words, as the final score was 22-0! Does everything have to be explained to you idiots?

What hurts worse - a regular season loss @ 22-0 or Bill Buckner?

only a bitter sox fan would get hung up on the meaningless outcome of one game.......

If you think this game is meaningless, you better go back to baking cookies in the kitchen as you obviously know absolutely nothing about baseball, let alone sports.

The Skankees should fear the Sox. I am not a Red Sox fan, but they are built better for the playoffs. MUCH better pitching...and they are playing better than the Skankees right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox take the division.

Seeing as how Bill Buckner was 18 years ago, that's not really a comparison.
What's going to hurt worse? Blowing a 10 1/2 game lead to your arch-rivals, or suffering the worst loss in American League history?

what does it prove?

your obviously bitter because even if the sox went on a streak for the next 10 years winning the division and the series every year....the franchise would still be in the shadows of the yankees ball club....snap back to reality man....one game, one season, one decade......doesnt mean anything in grand scheme of things in baseball.....the sox are not a winning ball club and the yanks are....so stop jerking off every time the yankees lose a game like it would prove anything to anyone if red sox actually overcame there streak of losing for a season....
