Yankees are INSANE!

Be careful! You'll cause the Red Sox fans to lose control and immediate begin flaming you and calling you all sorts of hideous things. And just because the Red Sox have began their usual September Swoon in June.

And now, thanks to Steinbrenner's genius about spending about $2.50 on pitching out of 180+ million, they lost. What a waste of extra innings.

What does George's payroll have to do with Clueless Joe leaving the best pitcher in baseball rotting on the bullpen bench?

and this game is far from over

You're crazy. Prinz has been untouchable, this is his role. It was not a save situation.

"not a save situation" is the same logic that allowed jeff weaver to cost us game 4(?) of the World Series last year.

I don't mean to insult Prinz at all, he's been great. But Mo is the best pitcher in baseball and should have been out there to start the 11th.

Oh yeah, heredia sucks.

Not bad, but the A's are still the hottest team in baseball. Their offense the last few games has been UNSTOPPABLE, scoring over 10 runs in maybe 5 of the last 7 games, and one game scoring 17. All this without their main star Eric Chavez.

And of course Mulder and Hudson, and Zito sort of, is as strong as ever 🙂

Mo has a very specific job, he's the closer. If you bring him in to start the 11th why didn't you bring him in the start the 10th? And if you keep him in for 2 scoreless innings, then who do you have to close it if the Yanks go up by a run?

Extra innings at home...how does a save situation occur?

I didn't say save. I said close.

Holy cow 😛 This past month and a half has been reminiscent of '98, when most of the time it seemed like they simply couldn't lose. I stand by hating steinbrennar though 😉
