Hi folks.
I've had good luck identifying mystery office items here before, for example in 2007:
Rubycon correctly identified it as a rave light
Well I've found a new item... far less mysterious though unfortunately
A co-worker of mine was cleaning out her office last week and found a "Yang Fan Note Book".
Knowing that I have kept some unusual objects that I've found around the office... like my 1969 Maintenance and Servicing of Vaporizers clipboard, she gave the "Note Book" to me.

So, the "Note Book" in question looks like this

http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Y...OhowsDAjello/Yang5.jpg

I tried searching a bit just to see if there was any information about it, but didn't turn up anything. This afternoon she came by and said that she saw an article in a newspaper about someone with the name Yang Fan and thought of it again.
I figured I'd ask ATOT if they had any insight on the notebook or could translate the text from the back cover. It's probably just some lame notebook, but it would be fun to know how old it is or where it came from, etc.
Thanks!

Ok ATOT, what's this then?
I found this attached (via the magnet in the bottom of it) to my desk at work.

Once or twice while allowing the thing to attract to the metal desk and hit it with sufficient force, the small square in the transparent covered part of the top lit up orange.
