YAMT - My Manager

I get along just fine with my boss.

He just updates my schedule on the network - and I do my job without whining or questioning it. I do my job well. Sometimes I go months without talking to any managment, at most I get 1 email a week from them.

I have survived 7 rounds of layoffs.

I must be doing something right.

In other words, you got a good manager and it paid off.

Some people are great workers, but have bad managers. And why did you start another thread on this subject, just post on the original one.

my boss is very good. i cannot complain
we have weekly staff meetings, as long as i get my work done well and on time, there is little interaction

If I had a manager like that, I'd probably feel the same as you. However, mine isn't and I don't. I have had great managers in the past however, so I get your vibe.
