YAMP3PT - Yet Another MP3 Player Thread

Fenixgoon

Lifer
My sister is looking for an MP3 player in the $100ish range to use when she goes running, so it has to be able to be strapped/clipped/whatever, fairly lightweight, and preferably flash-based.

thanks 🙂

The new shuffle looks like a winner so long as you don't need an LCD screen and a lot of space.

Perfect for running.

aren't you restricted to AAC encoded music only, though?

No, you can do plane jane MP3's too. You can't do OGG(not that you'd want to with only 1 gig) or WMA though.

Yes. iPods don't play mp3s, locking you into the iTunes system. OH NOESSSS!!!!!

If you're making fun of the fact that people don't like iPods not being able to play MP3s (supposedly), then you're rather ignorant. Realize that some people have many, many gigabytes of MP3 music that they don't want to convert. I, for example, have around 30gb in plain MP3s that wouldn't be very fun to convert to AAC.
