I got a pair of these in black from a past Buy.com deal for $36.99 AR. They're very nice, especially for the price.
Before these I had a pair of Altec Lansing ATP3 and they were also very nice for the price, but I find the build quality
of the Yamahas to be better. Plus they have a headphone jack and a separate power button so you don't have to
mess with the volume settings to turn off the speakers like on the ATP3. You can also plug in a 2nd source like a
portable CD player or something on the Yamahas. The Yamahas are also more powerful than the ATP3. As far
as sound quality goes, they both have their strengths... I found the highs on the ATP3 seemed better, but the
soundstaging on the Yamahas seem better. The ATP3 flat desigm makes them look nicer next to an LCD monitor I think.
Lastly, I read in a thread on some other site that the newer ATP3 used cheaper parts so they didn't sound as good and wouldn't last as long, but I don't know how true that is, so I didn't give it much weight in my decision. Also, maybe Yamaha could have done the same thing, who knows. You could get the ATP3 for $59.98 - $30 rebate in a recent Staples deal, and even less if you use a coupon. So it'd be about half the price as the Yamahas, but I don't know if that deal is still going on though. They're both good speaker systems for the money, so either way you should be happy with your decision.

Anyway, if you prefer a more substantial and more ruggedly built speaker system than the ATP3, want a headphone jack,
and a separate power button, I think these are probably some of the best 3-piece PC speakers you can buy for under $100, and definitely for under $50. Plus you don't have to mess with and wait for a $25 rebate like I did with Buy.com, but it'll cost you about $11 more.

Thought I'd post my finding since I was searching and nearly gave up after I found that the few places I found that still sell these are selling them for over $100. eBayers are selling them for around $60+ shipped, and refurbed ones are going for around $55 or so. These are brand new.

If you're okay with refurbs (I'm not) check out their clearance section, they have these in the USB version (YST-MS55D) for about $10 less I think, and I think they are black but I am not sure. They also have a couple of other less expensive models that are on clearance. They also have other stuff like headphones, headsets, receivers, and home stereo speakers, but I didn't see any real deals there.
