Hi guys, anyone got any experience with the Yamaha YSP series sound projectors..

Im seriously considering picking one up. Apparently the soundbar has 42 amps and 42 speakers.which is crazy. plus this model has an HDMI interface and is Panasonic VIERA Link compatibility. Im almost sold, but the UK price is high. i'll need a sub and wall bracket, which is gonna be roughly 1300GBP

its alot of money, but are they worth it, considering im not keen on muliply speakers due to trailing wires

thanks

It really depends a lot on the room you are putting it in. If you have walls to the left, right and behind the surround effect is quite amazing from a single piece unit. But without proper reflecting surfaces the surround can be very lackluster. Also, always team a sound bar up with a decent sub because they have almost no low frequency response. Also, don't rule out a traditional surround system, concealment of wires is not always as hard as it seams.

thanks for your reply CubanlB

problem is my TV is next to the window, in a corner, so im guessing i'll be missing out on some of the sound quality then.

i was also considering the new onkyo 2.1 HTX-22HD . it seems to have alot of features, but ive heard some of their home theatre stuff is not so great..

thanks, your advice was appreciated
