Yamaha RX-V465 Receiver - HDMI Output question

So I bought a new Yamaha RX-V465 Receiver and I am running into an issue that I can't seem to resolve.

I run either my xbox360 or my att uverse cable box into the receiver via component cables and am trying to run it out into my TV via HDMI but all I get is a black screen.

I can hook everything directly to my TV with either component or HDMI to my TV and it works fine. (I only have 1 HDMI cable, waiting for the others in the mail)

Does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere that I need to set to have the HDMI as my output? The manual doesn't tell me anything about what to do. Thanks

Welp, solved my own problem. It turns out that this model will only output the connection you input. Component to Component, HDMI to HDMI, etc.

I have to go one model up/extra $100 to get the any video connection in to HDMI out.


Buyer beware I guess. You guys may know this already but this was news to me. Have a good one!
