***UPDATE***
I've tried reconfiguring to use the ARC input on the Samsung but this still doesn't work, the manual is no help. Does anyone know what is happening here? Also why can't I still see TV picture when I change the input source to Sonos on HDMI AV3 via the Scene 3 button on the remote control?
Is there anyone who knows about this receiver and can help?
***UPDATE***
At the heart of my A/V system is the Yamaha RX-V3067, my problem is the connectivity of my source equipment appears to be sub-optimal.
My TV is the Samsung UE46ES8000
Blu-Ray is the Yamaha BD-S1067
I have a Pace Sky HD receiver and the Sonos CONNECT (formerly ZP90)
also in the mix is my X-Box 360
The problem is TV audio. The TV connects to the Sky box with an HDMI cable and the Sky box connects to the RX-V3067 Receiver also by HDMI. This is fine when I am watching TV through Sky but if I watch programmes through the Samsung on-board digital tuner or I access the Smart functions the only way I can get audio is from the TV sound output; the RX-V3067 Receiver is completely bypassed.
Leaving aside the speaker connections the following maps all other connections from the receiver:
HDMI Out 2 connects to the Samsung TV
HDMI AV1 connects to the Yamaha Blu-Ray BD-S1067
HDMI AV2 connects to the Pace Sky HD receiver
HDMI AV3 connects to the Sonos CONNECT (formerly ZP90)
Audio 1/Optical 5 connects to the Samsung UE46ES8000 TV Digital Audio Out
AV3/Optical 3 connects to the Pace Sky HD receiver Digital Audio Out
AV4/Optical 4 connects to the Sonos CONNECT Digital Audio Out
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can route the on-board TV audio through the receiver?
Thanks in advance.
