Yamaha RX-673 vs Onkyo TX-NR616

I have a Yamaha HTR-5960 and have recently added both blu-ray and an LCD HDTV to the mix. The Yamaha I have has no HDMI so I am looking to upgrade.

Both these recievers are below $400 now on Amazon shipped.

I have had Yamaha's since the mid 90's (RX-V1050/1070).

Onkyo has probably slightly more amp power, although I prefer Yamaha features generally.

Both receivers are very close in specs and features so, if you've been happy with Yamaha for the last 20 years then you should stick with them.

I am debating the Denon 2113CI refurbed as well.

The 2213CI has much better room correction. If its in your price range and you dont mind refurb then go for it

was happy with the yamaha i had for the past 10 years and am more than happy with the denon 4311ci i've had the past 5 or so months. i don't know much about the yamaha specific room correction stuff but i do know that audyssey is pretty neat. onkyo has had some quality issues the past few years from the research i did before i purchased my denon.
