Yamaha CW8824 CDRW problemos!

Hello all. I installed the above mentioned burner in my brother in laws puter last night along with the latest Nero burn software. It is installed as "Master" on the secondary IDE with his CD-ROM set as "slave". We tried to some burns with several diff file formats and everytime it doesnt even make it past the start of the "simulation" and gives a
"Scsi/IDE error"!!! What up wit dat? Any opinions are welcomed... feel free to email me as well.

Have you attempted to use the Adaptec software that ships with the drive?

I have only run into one snag with my 8824(outside of my own stupidity), and that was a failure to read a CD(only to copy it though, it reads it just fine otherwise).

I'd say give EasyCD a shot to try and figure out where you should be looking.
