Sup all
I purchased a Yamaha Cavit Dp u-50 few months ago for a really good price. Bought it because I only had a 2.1 speakers at the time so it seemed like a great idea. Few days ago I got a 4.1 speakers and now, I have trouble connecting all my speakers (3.5 mm Front and Rear connections) to the Cavit unit, since Yamaha only has a Right and Left RCA female input.Questions:
1. Can I still use this unit if I wanna have an excellent 4.1 MUSIC experience? I normally use my PC for MP3 listening only. So far, I've been using a Y adapter cable to connect the F and R outputs from my speakers to a single 3.5 plug, only to be converted again into the right and left RCAs connection for the CAvit). All my speakers are working but I'm not sure if I'm getting a true 4.1 audio experience.
2. What are the good things about USB sound cards in general? Yamaha CAVIT specifically?
2. What about switching to TB Santa Cruz or Audigy 2 ZS? TB SC is great for music I heard, while Creative cards are good for just about anything.
If I only use my card to listen to music, is it worth getting a new card like TB or Creative? Or should I stick with my Cavit (and supposedly un-real 4.1 sound)?
Thanks a bunch guys
