I'm thinking of buying an ATV. I'm basically going for speed. I like the way the Banshees sound due to their 2 stroke engines, but the Raptors have a higher cc number. Anyone know which one of these 2 are faster when stock?
 
I'd shy away from the 2-stroke Banshee. The EPA pretty much strong armed the ATV industry into discontinuing 2-strokes because of pollution (I believe 2006 is the last year you can get a new one). Even though the Banshee is hella fast, you can look forward to top end rebuilds every 100 hours or so ($$$). Another option is the Honda 450R or Kawasaki V Force.
