I got this drive from buy.com for $149 shipped from buy.com with the 30off150 coupon, so if you can use the coupon I would do that. (it's a little cheaper now , was $171 before coupon when I bought it)

As for the drive I can't fully recommend it. when I use the software cd to install the drivers it makes a hell of a lot of noise. I moved it to a different system the driver cd still made a lot of noise at spin up. it also made a nasty griding sound a couple of times when inserting and ejecting a cd. But so far it has not refused to read or write anything, just made wierd noises. I've been too busy to really put it to good use, but if it keeps making these noises then I may have to rma it after I finish backing up my stuff.
