Yamaha 6416s

I have the Yamaha 6x4x16 SCSI cd-rw drive. Lately when burning music CDs the first few tracks are bad, and it takes the CD player a long time to find the tracks. I'm using the newest version of Nero, same program I've been using since I first got the drive and it's always worked before. Is it possible the drive is just bad? Usually when I see a bad CD-RW drive it won't do anything at all. This one completes a burn sucessfully but it's all messed up. Anyone experiance anything like this with a yamaha drive?

I have the same drive and it has gone back. Several months ago it stopped recognizing CDRWs and then recently it can't complete CDR burns. I just replaced it with an IDE Lite-On which works great.
