You whine about people trolling in the garage and then you post something like this. If you thought the other guy was trolling your thread maybe you should have just reported the post and moved on, yet you always choose to respond.

Someday people may start to believe you simply stir the pot until every thread you post turns into a multi-page train wreck.

Actually a 1969/1970 Grabber I had thought about at one time hence why I posted it. My parents had 2 and 4 door mavericks when I was just a kid. Both in Green ;)

Someone that is averted to even the highly respected Audi look that many more higher end cars adopted should have probably skipped the post.

You are delusional!

It was cool in 2001 when they first came out, its 2012 now and they are completely played out. Camaro's now come with them stock as well.

When every Honda fanboi has put them on their Civics and there are over 13,500 items listed on EBAY - you know they are played out.

The internet is full of fake Rolex's too.

too many angry people around today. Take a breath, relax, have a drink and go screw you chick or go out and drive somewhere to screw someone else.

I took a cruise down I95 earlier to just drive. They definitely moved traffic to the right easier.

I thought about them but a friend got a set and I wasn't impressed. Decided to skip them.

Personally, I like the angel eyes look. Especially when paired up with OEM HIDs.

Saw an M5 with bright red angel eyes in the rear view mirror the other night. Quite a sight.

not trolling. they don't add anything over standard headlights, so i ask why waste the money

as for the audi comment the LEDs that look like eyeliner are hands down the ugliest headlights i have ever seen

I banged my chick, had a couple of IPA's at the bar, watched UFC 141 and my opinion is the same. They are nothing special that "turns heads" any longer.

90% of what people do to their cars is relatively cosmetic. Even those uber light weight wheels that don't see track duty except a few times a year is mostly cosmetic.

Outside differences of opinion, the angel eyes also make you a bit more visible approaching another vehicle. People got out of my way easier yesterday on a jaunt up and down I95 for a quick cruise while out picking up beer and provisions for the night.

You must only hang out in a very elite or boring circle.

I don't see them that often here nor even earlier and I am around cars a lot.

The thing with lambo doors I never got, esp the gull wing style as those make it harder to get in and need maximum parking width. The scissor doors make narrow spaces easier to use but they are a bitch to get in and out of too.

Not like the car is any easier to get into with normal doors most of the time. They are making more 'consumer' friendly models which I think was a result of the economy boom of 200x.

I like, looks good! I hate them on non-bmw's just like i hate it when people tack on LED strips to cars that don't come with them equipped from the factory.

lulz, ever heard of placebo effect? No way in the world you could meaningfully tell that in one drive.

They look decent.

I like the Audi LEDs still.

Well in 20 miles in the left lane and not having to slow or dip my lights, was more than placebo

Doesn't your car come with angel eyes?

It doesn't look bad, it is a bit 'stand out-ish' but I guess that's the point. I do think it's interesting that bmw started the bright running light fad but I think you're heading straight into ricer territory with the crap you're doing. It seems like a minor little mod for a whole new thread.

What would we do if the mr2 guys, miata guys, etc posted a new thread for every single double-side taped on thing they add? At some point it's a bit ridiclous, Alky. If you only made posts for even semi major "mods" (and I use that word lightly) it would cause a lot less backlash from everyone.

Alky you should look for some sort of competitive driving event to go to.. and get some of this showoff stuff though your system. Plus all of this fake carbon fiber money can go towards tires, suspension, and other useful bits

SA, as a BMW owner you should know my car did not come with angel eyes.

Saying it's standoutish is pretty much what most here are doing when they pick the cars they buy.

I am just sharing my car experiences with garage, who the F are you to say what level of modification should make the cut. Also none of my stuff is 'fake' carbon fiber.

The new roundels look much better on my silver car than blue and white did. The chrome for the grills was equally out of place on a car that has all black accents. The short shifter and rasp pipe I haven't installed...neither really had any power just make driving more enjoyable which for a daily driver that's the point.

I do plan on attending more driver's events especially now I am part of BMWCCA and my alignment guy is also one of the instructors along with another guy that's always at the shop. I used to do a lot of late night parking lot / warehouse district stuff, but my time that was spent studying 24/7 for most of the past year and having dogs now have made that a factor. Taking a mini-vacation for a two day event is more doable now as my studying has come to an end and my certifications are complete and I am enjoying the extra pocket change more :)

I am not trying to show off, I am posting what I am doing. If you have some kind of inferiority complex and take it that way, just skip my threads.

There is no reason to belittle me for your difference of opinion.

I tend to be pretty extroverted so to me the angel eyes are a pretty tame mod. I could have gone with much brighter ones, but I just wanted the simple accents.

To me and that's all that matters, it looks better on the car than without. I haven't met another that ever said "hey those rings look like shit!" on any BMW with them...most tend to really like the look.

I'd love to just order the Dinan rear end and a supercharger along with some ground-control coilovers and swaybars, but I just bled way into 5 figures buying two cars, doing christmas, and a bunch of extras all in December. I am keeping myself out of debt and paying as I go and not getting greedy and modifying my savings plan for rainy days/retirement. I could easily throw it all on credit and then brag, if that was my schtick.

What kind of mods have you done? You constantly hound others in garage yet don't contribute anything like many others here.

Angel eyes / halos only look good on a BMW because they are OEM and are JUST the halos, and they fit naturally with the BMW "four eyes" styling.

When applied to other vehicles, your choices are limited to $100 Ebay special Made In China riced out aftermarket lense assemblies that attempt to change a "two eye" vehicle to a "four eye", which doesn't look right at all. Then its all chromed out with three or more halos, halos FOR the halos, and random pointless LEDs and "Altezza" constructs in whatever empty space is left between the high beam, low beam, and turn signal/side marker. Too busy and gaudy as hell, looks like something out of a bubble gum machine.
